• (2024) This first painting of 2024 shows a new and somewhat more sophisticated direction in my work. An interesting exploration of the small things in our natural world that is part of the whole. "Fragment From Beyond" was born from a small detail I spotted in one of my other paintings, "Beyondering". It was quite fascinating to discover that all the smaller building blocks in my paintings actually are artworks in themselves. Seeing that small detail blown up into a much bigger size was very inspiring, and I think I will explore this way of working further. 101 cm x 101 cm Acrylic on gallery canvas. • (2021) We walked for hours through the remarkable gorge and nature was holding us in its majestic fullness and powerful energy. The name speaks of the way back in time, but also the way back to nature, to our hearts and to our source. This time my experience of the Carnarvon Gorge was even more powerful than in 2020. I felt very small and unsignificent but at the same time completely one with nature and I felt such respect for the power of these deep and vast lands. And if I lost my attention to it, I  instantly got pulled back in by the presence of the ancestors.
I love the quote by John Muir "And into the forest I go, to lose myself and find my soul". It's so true. And this was yet another experience that brought me back to self and a reminder to stay open and present to the magic.  But one thing I don´t want, is to get physically lost in the Carnarvon...because then, the way back, could be very uncertain. Full respect! 101.6 cm x 101.6 x  3.8cm Acrylic paint and liquid ink pen on deep edge canvas. Ready to hang.

  • (2022) The places I have seen here in South East Queensland (so far!) are beyond incredible. The vast mountain ranges, the summits with breathtaking views, the creeks and the deep forests. I am so lucky to live in this part of the world where nature just keeps on giving. I have so much more to explore, and so many more mountains to conquer and paintings to paint. The mountains have been such an inspiration for me this year and I feel this painting is showing the essence of my most recent experiences at the Scenic Rim in South East Queensland. Those incredible mountain ranges and peaks I just love to explore. There is no better feeling than getting to the top of a mountain experiencing the sense of freedom and knowing that the adventure has only just begun! 121.8cm x 60.9cm x 3.5cm Acrylic, liquid ink pen on canvas. • (2021) Most of the time I am inspired by sceneries in our natural world, but every now and then by stories and dreams. In this case, this painting was inspired by a dream that my beloved had. In the dream he was standning by a lake, and when he jumped in to the lake he found himself floating around in the sky... a pool of sky. How dreamy isn't that!? I just had to paint my version of this. 121.8cm x 60.9cm x 3.5cm Acrylic, liquid ink pen on canvas. Shipping not included in price, contact me for a quote. Local pick up available.

  • (2022) Recently I visited the Upper Portals at Mt Barney National park with some friends, and came across some pretty special places where water where flowing, streaming and gushing through the wilderness. • (2023) "And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul" is a quote I love by John Muir. These words popped into my head when I was coming up with a title for this painting. I found it suitable, as this is the same state I search to find when I get in the zone of painting. This piece had many shapes and forms before it took me on a journey to this destination. Trees, creeks plants together in a lovely scenery to escape into. 60 cm x 76 cm Acrylic, oil pastel, paint pen. Shipping not included in price, contact me for a quote. Local pick up available.
